Orchestra Committee
The orchestra committee is an organization of high school students who work on events geared toward the advancement of the orchestra. Students organize fundraisers, design shirts, take orders for special events, and market any projects to the greater community. Opportunities to steer the orchestra toward greater success are in great numbers, and the orchestra committee has the ability to plan these successes. Students have already designed and purchased shirts for the high school orchestra, and organized a fundraiser at Dee’s Family Diner in 2009. Collecting donations and discovering new ways to blend the orchestra members from 5th grade to 12th grade are goals we are constantly striving to achieve. Any high school orchestra student is eligible to attend the meetings and provide input. Students meet twice a month, discussing ways to enhance the musical community in which we live.
