We have very nice uniforms. We need to express to you the importance of the proper care of the uniforms. These uniforms are very expensive and are even more expensive to replace in small quantities. Therefore you need to be aware of what we are expecting from all members of the bands. Each student will be issued a complete uniform with a garment bag. The uniform and garment bag will be numbered and associated with a student to avoid confusion or mix-ups. The uniforms will have been cleaned when you receive them. 

The student must care for these uniforms with pride for they represent our program, our school and our community. The uniforms should be on hangers when not attached to a student’s body and should never be left in your car or in your locker at school. It should be dry cleaned regularly (at least every other week during marching season) so that the fabric will not become soiled, odorous or begin to rot. When the uniform is taken to the dry cleaners, please do not clean the sash. When transporting your uniform, it should always be in your garment bag. Once you are at home from a performance, remove the uniform from the garment bag and let it hang to dry.

When wearing your uniform, you should always be in Full uniform, i.e. your jacket zipped and bib straps over your shoulders. Your jacket should never be worn hanging open. You are responsible for hemming both your marching and concert pants. 

NEVER ALLOW ANYONE TO WEAR ANY PART OF YOUR UNIFORM. It is your responsibility to treat the uniform with the respect it deserves. 

UNIFORM COSTS

If you lose or destroy any part of the uniform, you will be billed for that item at the single replacement cost set by the uniform manufacturer. The item will then be replaced so that we can keep our uniforms intact.
